Tarot Card of the Day: April 1, 2021 — Six of Wands

The Six of Wands is one of those incredibly positive and triumphant cards. It says, "ticker tape parade!"

We have the blue skies, the primary figure on horseback with a wreath of greenery around his head.
And we have two other very intriguing elements. There are other people in this parade -- they are holding their wands upright too.

They seem to be aligned with and in support of the primary figure. Nearly every face in this card is in profile, except for two. There is a male figure in the far left of the scene, who appears to be looking up at the figure on horseback.

It means different things in different contexts, but the point is that someone is watching. Someone is observing what is happening.

And the other figure, most noticeable of all, is the horse. Notice how the horse has his or her head turned toward you, the viewer? It is as if he or she is looking directly at you. Although the figure on horseback is riding forward, in profile, with eyes that appear to be looking straight ahead, the horse he is riding has head turned to you, me, us.

This is one of my favorite cards -- it is positive and triumphant, yes. But we also have these other elements that make me just slightly uneasy.

Everyone else is facing forward, and we see them in profile. Except for one person watching the action, and a horse breaking the fourth wall.
