Tarot Card of the Day: Aug. 18, 2022 — Page of Pentacles
Tarot Card of the Day: Aug. 18, 2022 — Page of Pentacles
The Page of Pentacles stares at his Pentacle while he holds it aloft. Pages often indicate students or "application,” deliberate and focused attention on something.
Does this mean a focus on making money or achieving material success? It might mean creatively developing a new way to earn income, or to improve the financial performance of a business.
Single-minded determination is more of the root of the meaning, I usually think. In her book, "Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom," Rachel Pollack refers to the Page of Pentacles as lost in his studies, "feeling little concern for anything outside them."
The card relates quite literally to someone starting at a school or university, or someone starting a new job. This application and focus can also apply to topics other than the traditionally academic or knowledge- or skill-related.
What if someone is putting renewed focus on one's primary intimate relationship or marriage. It might seem that the Page of Cups would tie to a relationship or emotional focus more than the Page of Pentacles, but consider that attention given to improving the relationship can increase the rewards both people experience from that marriage or relationship.
Then we have a stronger connection between the "rewards" or "benefits" of Pentacles -- tangible or intangible -- and the entity that provides the benefits.
Have you embarked on a focused period of application or concentration that yielded especially meaningful results for you? If so, please share in the comments below.
