Tarot Card of the Day: January 5, 2023 -- The High Priestess

Tarot Card of the Day: January 5, 2023 -- The High Priestess

The core meanings of this card are the feminine, secret knowledge, and duality between male and female, black and white, north and south, positive and negative, good and evil.

We see this in the black and white colors of the pillars, and we also have the duality of Boaz and Jachin, indicated by the B and J on the pillars.  These were two pillars at the entrance of Solomon's Temple; essentially named Boaz and Jachin. Boaz means "with strength." Jachin usually translates as "permanence" or "establishment," or "steadfast."

Those opposing forces will always be present. And we need to learn how to best manage that duality, that push and pull of opposite forces. That is the reminder that we receive at this, the start of the new year.

There are no easy solutions. But, compromise is one way of managing that duality. Find the most valuable attributes of each of the two forces in play, and identifying a way to gain the benefits of both. Otherwise, you are likely to feel “stuck” in the conflict between these two opposing forces.

The best advice of the High Priestess at this time of the year is that you find a way to strike middle ground, versus moving entirely to one side or the other.
