Tarot Card of the Day: June 23, 2021 — Four of Cups

Many of the Cups cards involve people looking at things before them in cups that are either full or empty. Sometimes the cups are upright and sometimes they’ve been overturned.
With the Four of Cups, we have a young man seated under a tree, with his arms folded and legs crossed, contemplating three empty cups before him. At the same time, a hand comes out of a cloud, a familiar tarot motif, offering a fourth cup. And it also appears empty.
This young man has a weary look on his face. However, the sky is blue, the grass is green, and the tree that he rests against appears healthy, with many green leaves.
Does he expect everything to be handed to him somehow? Perhaps he has received cups filled with great things in the past but now the cups he is being offered are empty.
What should be do? Should he get up off the ground and uncross his arms and go out and find something to put in those cups? Maybe that would be a good course of action. A way to put something other than a look of vague dissatisfaction on his face.
Have you been given something like an empty cup in the past, an opportunity that wasn’t guaranteed to offer anything valuable — until or unless you turned it into something through actions you took?
