Tarot Card of the Day: March 31, 2021 — Seven of Swords

The Seven of Swords is a card filled with contradictions. On the one hand, the sky is bright yellow, sunny and cloudless. The man carrying the swords is walking on a smooth slab of road or sidewalk, that is also yellow. In the distance we see buildings with flags flying, as well as a varied landscape with some trees and grasses. All of this seems so positive, bright, and cheery.

But then we have the fact that he's carrying five swords, looking over his shoulder, as if he's stealing swords that belong to someone else. This is of course decidedly not good.

I suspect he's not carrying all seven swords because he CAN'T carry all seven, otherwise, he would make off with all of them.

This is one of those cards that suggests we consider what we're facing, and ask whether things are as they appear -- or not. Is there deception? Is someone being unfaithful in romance? Is someone committing another sort of crime? There are so many possibilities for ill-gotten gain and misleading behavior in this card.

It seems appropriate to be wary when the Seven of Swords appears.
