Tarot Musings: Aug. 4, 2022 —Two of Swords and Nine of Swords

A situation that has not been resolved may pose a threat. You may not know what you need to know and that could prevent you from making an important decision or taking action.

Often, we don’t take action if we think we don’t have all the information we need. Sometimes that is “purposeful procrastination,” which can be very smart if you do not “need” to take action urgently.

The Nine of Swords points to what may be a “necessary loss.” There may be some pain or unhappiness, and it may be unavoidable. It can come as a result of the procrastination — an opportunity could pass you by, for example. Or, the pain could arise out of the decision or action that breaks the stalemate. It could be a decision to leave a job, or to “admit defeat” in another conflict-filled situation.

The pain may be inevitable — but it does not need to be permanent. Have you struggled with a situation and realized that you needed to pay some sort of price to move beyond it, and put it behind you?
