Tarot Musings: June 3, 2023 – The Hierophant

The Hierophant may bestow approval on others. Often representing institutions or entities like "The Church" or "My Family" or "My Colleagues at Work," The Hierophant can seem awfully "judgey."

However, The Hierophant only has the power given to him/her/them. To the degree that the opinion of others matters, that is how much influence The Hierophant has.

That can make this a very important card in a reading, and when it comes up on a day like today, it can create a lot of anxiety, especially if the opinions of others have not been front and center in the mind.

But if one is confident, the opinions of only certain "others" matter -- and that can make an enormous difference.
