Tarot Musings: November 23, 2022 — Three and Nine of Pentacles, Queen of Wands, Seven of Pentacles
Yesterday I drew two cards from the deck regarding what the next few days may hold for many of us, during this upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the United States.
The Three and Nine of Pentacles reminded us of the importance of both labor and the rewards of labor, in balance.
This morning I shuffled the deck and drew two more cards to add to the cards I pulled yesterday.
What came up?
The Queen of Wands and Seven of Pentacles.
The first card drawn in each pair is a single woman, one of Pentacles and another of Wands. Both of these women are very confident and accomplished, benevolent and wise. And the second card in each pair is of the suit of Pentacles, the suit of work and the rewards of work.
With the Three of Pentacles we have the work being done. With the Seven, we are waiting, waiting for the crop to mature, waiting to see the benefits.
We may put forth hard work and serious effort to feel that we have earned the rest and enjoyment that follows. But we should we expect "immediate gratification"?
You may find yourself spending time with people who rub you the wrong way this weekend. You may have some holes in your tongue from having bitten it. You may need to expend serious effort to manage your behavior around those people. But you will probably be better off in the future for doing that, for expending that effort.
Watch for the rewards of this effort -- they may not appear in the way you first expect.
